I am Brenda Marcia, a concept designer, anthropologist, and creative professional with experience in project and partnership management. Having lived and worked in Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and deeply influenced by my Ghanaian roots, my journey has shaped my understanding of the structural gaps within Europe's creative landscape. Akua Studios was born out of a personal drive to transform the frustration of underrepresentation into a space for action. My mission is to contribute to the empowerment and professional growth of the Black creative community in Europe, fostering an ecosystem rooted in visibility, agency, and plural narratives.
